Who Knew Blues

Nobody knew healthcare could be so complicated.  That's what the pretender in chief said.

That should come as a surprise since he and his party had been whining over Obamacare for 6 years.  You'd think with all that whining, they'd have had it figured out.

Maybe he should have asked Hillary.

The Republicans in congress have met the complication head on by proposing a tax break to insurance companies and the rich.  There isn't a problem that can't be solved by a tax cut to the wealthy.

Just think of all the problems solved since trickle down became all the rage back around 1980. Yes, they've been tricking down on you for years now and some folk in the neighborhood still think it's raining.

So the Republicans are going to fix our healthcare problems with tax cuts for people who don't need it and coverage cuts for people who do.

While they're at it, they're going to fix our pollution problems by killing the Environmental Protection Agency.  They're going to fix our educational problems by eliminating the Education Department.  They're going to shore up our National Parks by shutting down the National Park Service and selling public lands to the highest bidder.

That's a closed process, by the way.  You aren't invited.

Speaking of not being invited, Washington  isn't the only place Republicans are making the powerful even more.  In Frankfort,  there's language in a Senate bill to take the assigned duties from the Attorney General and put them in the governor's office.

That's pretty funny, considering the AG is an elected official just like the governor with duties assigned by the state constitution.  Who knew the current AG wasn't a Republican! How'd he get elected?

All that separation of powers stuff is so age of reason! We're in the age of treason now my friend.

The Republicans, from top to bottom, just want to make it all less complicated.  You really don't need healthcare, you really don't need clean water, you really don't need education, and you especially do not need a government that works for you.

As long as it's working for the corporations who pay to get them elected, that's all you need to care about.  Jesus and the governor said so.

For those of you who might think we're being hard on the party of Lincoln, I'd say you are dead wrong.  The party of Lincoln is dead. It's been dead for a long time.

The Republican party is the biggest enemy of the American people and it's not even close.  It is anti-democratic, anti-society, anti-intellectual and does not have an answer for anything in the 21st century.  It is the know-nothing party and it proves itself daily.

Our only hope is that some other party gets its act together before it's too late.  So obviously I'm feeling kinda hopeless today.  Who knew it could be so complicated?
