R is For

You know he did not want to make that phone call. What could he say besides the truth for once?

Normally when Trump says "I didn't know," he isn't telling the truth. He knows. That's really the only time he knows anything

The rest of the time he's making it up. Especially when he says he knows. He isn't telling the truth then either.

So Putin wants answers because a former comedian has held off the great Russian war machine for four years longer than anyone thought possible and just destroyed 1/3 of his strategic bombers with drones you can buy at Dicks Sporting Goods. What happened to his heads up?

And all Don John could say is "I didn't know." The truth.

I can remember when news of 1/3 of Russia's strategic bombers destroyed would be cause for celebration in congress.  It wasn't that long ago. Now our Secretary of State calls the Kremlin to offer condolences. Congress is addicted to that Russian money.

Fun fact:  Russian, rubles, and Republican all start with the letter r, as does rat.

This is a good time to talk about bullies. As one of the 2 or 3 littlest guys in our class growing up, I was fair game. My dad said fight back, they'll leave you alone. So I did and I got walloped. One day, I was tired of some bully bullying me who'd already walloped me once or twice. In a moment of inspiration, I picked up a baseball bat and started swinging.

I didn't connect. But that bully ran and never bullied me again. I figured out most bullies would run with the first swing of a bat or board or whatever I could get my hands on.

But there's a simple truth. There are really two kinds of bullies. The second kind won't run when you just swing. You've got to connect for them to get the point. Otherwise, you're going to get walloped again.

That's the difference between the bully in D.C. and the one in Moscow.

There was a moment during Biden's term that it was clear NATO could quickly lay waste to Russian forces and push them back into Russia if just unleashed. If the Ukraine war has shown us anything, it's Putin's army ain't all that. He's out of Russian jailbirds at this point and using North Koreans for fodder.

Of course it would have been risky. Mutually assured destruction is real. But as long as NATO didn't enter Russian airspace or territory, Putin would not risk it all that way. The baseball bat would leave its mark and the bully would get the point

Maybe.

But we'll never know because, of course, this kid's hormone fueled fantasy could never happen now. When Putin said he'd retaliate, I wonder what Don said? I understand? You'd better not?

Kennedy told Krushchev he'd blow Soviet ships out of the water if they attempted to deliver warheads to Cuba and proceeded to load the torpedoes. Trump tells Putin to stop attacking Ukraine or he'll put tariffs on caviar.

His hotels are already hoarding reserves.
